Delain @ La Scène Bastille (Paris, FR) - 29.04.2009This concert was by far the best concert of Delain! The atmosphere was electric! The French audience is known for its enthusiasm and just proved that again. Each band member let itself get carried away by the warm welcome of the crowd. The atmosphere went crescendo during the whole show, and therefore when Charlotte announced that it was the last song, the crowd kept on screaming and singing “No! No! No!” without letting them play it. There was a lot of complicity exchanged. Technically speaking, the sound and the lights were perfect. 10/10!

Whyzdom @ La Scène Bastille (Paris, FR) - 29.04.2009One year after their first concert, this young band got the opportunity to open for Delain in Paris. And well, I might say that they perfectly grabbed their chance. They managed to radiate good energy and their enthusiasm was a pleasure to see. The sound wasn’t perfect though, Telya’s voice was a little bit covered by the instruments. But, well, her charisma won us over anyway! And just one word about the final headbang: way to go!

Delain @ Havana Cafe (Toulouse, FR) - 01.04.2009Tonight, Delain played as a support act for Kamelot. It was their first concert in France since the release of their new album April Rain. Even if the music style of Delain is not that close to Kamelot’s, the audience seemed to really appreciate the band. They gave them a warm welcome even if most of them didn’t know the songs. Ronald was very sick and barely standing on stage, but it seems that the crowd carried him throughout the show.

Delain - Interview @ Havana Café (Toulouse, FR) - 01.04.2009We met with Martijn just before Delain's 7th concert in France, this time supporting Kamelot. We talked a lot about the release of their second album April Rain. He answered some questions about the writing process and the structure of the songs. Martijn also explained to us that they were working on a tour in France as well as on a special show in the Netherlands.

Lordi @ Transbordeur (Lyon, FR) - 25.02.2009Tonight, Lordi played in Lyon in front of an audience that seemed quite… hum, let's just say asleep. Of course the arrival of the monsters on stage, together with some nice fireworks, awakened the first rows of the venue, but, well, nothing spectacular happened amongst the crowd. And yet, the show was awesome. The Finnish monsters appeared to be, once again, great entertainers. Aesthetically, the stage looked like the scene of a horrorflick, and new elements were brought up on stage all along the show: burned dolls, chain saw, bazooka, beheading material… well every detail was thoughtfully chosen and this whole production, along with the enthusiastic presence of the musicians, made this evening an exquisitely funny and enjoyable moment.
